Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Nathan "Gage" Ingram
Navy Seal Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Nathan "Gage" Ingram, age 27, was a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend who was lost at sea while on a night mission off the coast of Somalia. A team of US Navy SEALs boarded a ship smuggling Iranian missile components bound for the Houthi militants in Yamen. During the mission, a SEAL team member fell into the water at which time Gage quickly jumped in an attempt to rescue him. After an exhausting 10-day search, they were considered missing & deceased as of January 12, 2024.
Gage graduated from Byron Nelson High School, Trophy Club, TX in 2014 and completed his degree in Kinesiology at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX in 2019. Gage enlisted in the Navy on September 25, 2019, and graduated boot camp on November 22, 2019. He graduated Basic Underwater Demolition /SEAL Training Class 346 in December 2021 and reported to his first operational tour as SEAL Team THREE.
Gage was known for his amazing smile and infectious laugh. He was also known for his generosity to anyone he met and was marked by his selfless dedication to helping and serving others. Gage decided early on in life that his calling was to be a SEAL. He thrived on the brotherhood of his platoon and led by example and mentored many in his personal life. Gage has been a rock for his family, friends and brothers, always genuine, dependable and respectful.
